Expert Care. Seamless Ownership. One Trusted Team.
The service experience that defines Cape Yachts extends well beyond the sale through our partnership with South Wharf Yacht Yard & Marina, a full-service boatyard and marina in the heart of historic Padanaram Harbor. As part of the Cape Yachts family, South Wharf gives our customers direct access to an experienced team of technicians, specialized facilities, and comprehensive support throughout every stage of yacht ownership through our customer advocates. South Wharf offers extensive capabilities in commissioning, customization, maintenance, repair, repowering, and refit services for everything from tenders and center consoles to sophisticated sailboats and luxury motor yachts.
Today’s yachts are more advanced than ever, integrating complex propulsion systems, electronics, navigation equipment, and onboard technologies that require specialized expertise. That’s why our factory-trained and certified technicians receive ongoing manufacturer training and are authorized to service many of the industry’s leading brands, including Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad, Seakeeper, and B&G. This unique combination of dealership knowledge and service expertise allows us to provide a level of support few yacht dealerships can match.
Boat Service
We are capable of addressing most marine repair or modification and are best known for providing prompt, friendly and customer centric services. We manage and care for boats and yachts from a simple tender rigged with an outboard to complex 80’+ sailing and power vessels. We are always interested in making our services available to new clients and welcome you to stop by for a visit to discuss your needs.
Mechanical
South Wharf’s certified mechanical team loves what they do. And that enthusiasm shows through with their impeccable reputation in both inboard and outboard systems. They are also experts in running gear service, systems upgrades, fuel systems, bow thruster and windlass installations. Our mechanical team stays up to date with the ever-evolving marine technologies through annual service schools and constant technical reading on Volvo IPS systems and the latest in Cummins and Yanmar technology. Plus, we’ve obtained our 5-Star Master Class Yamaha Certification.
Electronics & Electrical
A sophisticated electrical and electronic system is as much a part of today’s yacht as a diesel engine or a sail. The electrical technicians at South Wharf are all ABYC certified and adhere to the highest industry standards whether they are installing custom navigational packages, updating wiring systems, or supplying power to systems throughout the vessel. We are a Master Raymarine, SIMRAD, B&G and Garmin dealer in addition to our electronic technicians being factory trained and certified in warranty service for all our brands.
Refinishing
There is nothing like the feel of a well-loved boat – but the years can and do take their toll. The finish department at South Wharf is just what you need to add extra years to your well-loved boat. We can give your vessel a new lease on life by fabricating parts and molds, replacing bulkheads and, in general, providing a thorough sprucing-up.
