1998 Oyster 63 Pilothouse
Morning Star
$775,0007
The only Oyster 63 ever built, ‘Morning Star’ is truly one of a kind. This Holman and Pye custom pilothouse design allows for comfortable sailing in all conditions. She was designed for blue water sailing and is easily handled by two. The raised pilot saloon offers a full view of deck and sea, and the option to change course without going on deck. The Oyster 63 features a split cockpit; aft the working area, with twin wheels, and forward one of the safest, family-friendly cockpits in a yacht of this size.
Under sail, she is a fast, well-balanced and powerful performer, and like all Oysters, solidly built and beautifully finished. She features teak laid decks and teak joinery and holly stripe sole boards below deck. With six berths in three cabins, and a large walk through galley, there is plenty of space for guests. ‘Morning Star’ is on her second ownership and has been used only for day sailing since 2017.
Custom Oyster 63 Pilothouse 'Morning Star' is truly one of a kind. Cutter rig with in mast furling, teak joinery, six berths in three cabins. The raised pilothouse saloon offers comfort with full visibility of deck and seas.

2006 Custom Seakindly Marine Tucker 47
MELODEON
$254,062.399
MELODEON
Melodeon is a custom designed Motorsailer. The hull design is based on a Tucker 43 expanded to 47’ LOD.
The hull, deck and superstructure are all steel, and the welding was performed by certified welders.
Professional architects, engineers and trades people were consulted during all phases of construction, and Lloyd’s and ABYS standards were observed.
In order to improve on systems that are common on pleasure boats but subject to excessive wear, damage or failure, the following areas were addresses:
Thru hull fittings
There are no thru hull fittings. Sea water in brought into the boat through the top of a standpipe that extends above the waterline. If a valve or hose failed, no water would enter the boat. The sea water is used only for exhaust cooling. The exhaust is stainless steel with rubber couplings and can run without water if necessary.
Keel Cooler
The engine does not take in seawater for cooling. There are pipes enclosed by removable plates in the keel that contain an antifreeze mixture. This is circulated through the engine heat exchanger and provides enough capacity to cool the engine even when it is running out of the water. A slot in the bottom of the ¾” keel plate allows for seawater circulation and provides a safe place for dual depth sounder transducers.
Steering
There are two hydraulic variable output helm pumps, one in the pilothouse and one in a pedestal on the aft deck. They work independently and are joined at a manifold that leads to twin hydraulic cylinders attached to the steering quadrant. A combination of valves allows any component to be isolated and the steering will still function.
The rudder shaft log extends above the waterline and would not be a problem even if the if the internal seal failed. The balanced rudder is massively constructed and fully protected by the keel.
Shaft bearings and seals
There are no conventional cutlass bearings and packing glands. Custom bronze bearings and lip type seals are used on both ends of the shaft log, which is filled with waterproof grease. There are no water leaks or noticeable wear with this system.
Thrust Bearings
A custom designed 1800# thrust bearing assembly transfers the for and aft thrust to the hull. The engine is rigidly mounted to the engine bed and is isolated electrically and from vibrations to the hull. A short driveshaft with universal joints connects the transmission to the propeller shaft. No thrust is transferred to the transmission or engine bed.
Junk Sails and Rigging
The Junk rig was chosen for ease of sailing, durability and maintenance. The fore and main masts are 10” dia. aluminum extrusions, mounted inside steel pipes that are welded to the deck and keel. They are clamped by bolts at the bottom and wedges at deck level. They are not stayed, leaving the deck unobstructed, are sealed at both ends, and contain no electrical wires. The aluminum mizzen mast is stayed and contains wiring for anchor and strobe lights and an antenna for the Short Wave/SSB radio.
The sails are balanced with 25% forward of the mast and have 6 panels individually battened and controlled by a continuous sheet. These sheets terminate at the back of the pilothouse and can be adjusted without going forward. There is no heavy boom required, but the boom on this rig was designed to duplicate the yard in case the yard was damaged. All booms and yards contain spare battens internally. The shell blocks and belaying pins were custom designed and require no maintenance.

Masts: The fore and main masts are 10” dia. aluminum extrusions, mounted inside steel pipes that are welded to the deck and keel. The masts are clamped by bolts at the bottom and wedges at deck level. They are not stayed, leaving the deck unobstructed. The masts are sealed at both ends for buoyancy and contain no electrical wires. Maximum height of the main mast is 50 feet from the water line, allowing passage under lower bridges.
The aluminum mizzen mast is stayed and contains wiring for anchor and strobe lights and an antenna for the Short Wave/SSB radio.
Sails: The sails are balanced with 25% forward of the mast and have 6 panels individually battened and controlled by a continuous sheet.
Sail Handling: In operation the junk rig is easy for two people to handle and can be single handed if necessary. The boat does not have to be turned into the wind to set or reef the sails. Each sail can be raised or lowered effortlessly from one to six panels to match wind conditions. When sailing upwind or on the beam, just turning the wheel to the new course will gently shift the sails to the other tack. Downwind, an accidental jibe will do no harm because of the balanced sails, light boom, and continuous sheet ropes. The booms are above head height and the sails do not obstruct vision under any conditions.
Hull speed: The boat can sail at 7 plus knots under modest conditions. The motion is very comfortable under most conditions and the amount of heel is rarely more than 5-6 degrees. The double-ended hull is favorable for following seas, making the boat seakindly and producing very little wake.
Fuel System
There are three stainless steel fuel tanks, two working and one reserve. There is a valve system to switch between the tanks and two electric fuel pumps to transfer between tanks. Fuel can be polished by transferring through the primary filters. There are two primary filters with clear bowls and valves to switch from one to the other while running. Primary filters can be changed while running, and secondary filters can be bled through a line going to the diesel stove gravity tank.
There are two cross vented filling pipes on deck.
Fresh Water and Wastewater
There are three stainless steel freshwater tanks. They can be filled from a deck fitting with a pressure hose, by gravity, or pumped from a container. The water passes through a filter and an ultraviolet sanitizer when the tanks are being filled. They also pass through the same filters on their way to the fixtures.
There is a 480 gallon per day evaporator type desalinator plumbed into the system that has not been activated.
There is a 110-volt hot water tank that works from engine heat.
There is a grey water tank that is filled by gravity from the sinks and bathtub. An electric pump transfers the water overboard or into the blackwater tank.
The blackwater tank serves a full-size electric macerator head that is flushed using greywater. The tank can be pumped overboard or into a storage tank through a deck fitting using a manual pump.
There is a second Nature’s Head that is self-contained composting.
Deck Features
The deck and superstructure were designed for safety and ease of use under all conditions.
The deck is flush and cannot hold standing water. It is flat with no tripping hazards and is not obstructed by standing rigging or other lines. It has a non-slip coating with painted drains. It is wide enough for two people to pass. There are handrails on the coach roof and the pilothouse. The coach roof provides comfortable seating. Rotating stove pipes prevent downdrafts in the diesel and solid fuel stoves.
Six Opening Gates: There is a three-foot-high steel guardrail with fore, aft and midship opening stainless steel gates on each side. These are useful for docking, going shore and onboarding passengers.
Rubbing Strakes: Full length polyboard planking standing off the hull with stainless steel brackets. Extremely useful for fending off boats and docks, working around the boat, securing safety swim lines and for tying up visiting dinghies.
Safety Swim Ladders: 2 port and starboard plastic, pull down ladders can be deployed by a swimmer or person in the water. They slide to align with the gates on the aft deck.
Dinghy Mounts: There are dinghy davits on the port and starboard side of the aft deck that normally carry two dinghies. Each set of davits has a block and tackle for an outboard motor. One person can launch a dinghy and load an outboard using this system.
Vents: Fuel fillers and vents are on deck, as are vents for sewage tanks and engine room. The three bollards have gasketed adjustable tops for ventilation. The engine air intake is at the back of the pilot house. There is a high-capacity bilge pump below the engine air vent.
Pilothouse Exterior: The pilothouse has an overhang on all sides to prevent the windows from streaking when raining at anchor and allowing the portlights to be open for ventilation.
The front pilothouse windows are 5/8-inch tempered glass. The portlights, with 1/2- and 3/4-inch glass, are salvaged from commercial vessels and can be locked open.
Hatches: There are three watertight hatches, forward over the chain locker, aft over a rope locker, and amidships over the saloon. Hatches have comings, are properly dogged with neoprene gaskets and stainless-steel hinges. A fourth hatch is a large bronze porthole located on the midships cargo hatch. It is useful for ventilation and can hold a 1,200-cfm solar fan for air movement in hot weather and in the storage yard. All can be used for escape if necessary. Access to the pilothouse is by an aft steel door with two-way hinges and a hydraulic damper. There are no sliding hatches.
Deck Boxes: On the aft deck there are two life raft canister deck boxes/seats, one for a life raft, and one to store fuel and oil for the outboard motors. The configuration, combined with a stowable table, create a cockpit alternative seating area.
Outside Helm: There is an aft helm behind the mizzen mast with a stainless-steel binnacle, an 8-inch navy compass, and a stainless-steel wheel attached to a variable pitch hydraulic steering pump. The pump is tied to a similar one in the pilot house. They are joined by a manifold system that leads to twin hydraulic cylinders at the steering quadrant. Any part of the system can be isolated if necessary and the steering will still function.

MELODEON: Overview and Options
If the motor sailor Melodeon is anything, she is versatile. She has many faces and possibilities for her new owners.
This boat has proven her fabulous capabilities and functioned extremely well as a sailing, cruising live-aboard boat.
Wherever she is Melodeon is a boat that draws attention due to her interesting aspects and colorful harlequin junk-sails. She has been captured for the evening news a few times by the weather helicopter she visits a new port. She has also been the popular subject of harbor cams and news articles as she travels.
Melodeon can also double as a 3-bedroom home or unique cottage in any city by the sea. With skyrocketing real-estate prices and poor availability, she can become an affordable home that can go for a sail on the weekend.
For someone who wishes to run a high-profile business in a busy harbor, she is roomy enough to host staff and clients in a novel setting.
Melodeon is also the toast of the dock or anchorage if someone has an interest in entertaining. Many dinghies can tie up on her rubbing strakes and her upper deck is able to host an entire band, for a dock party or raft-up.
Other options for her, besides sailing the ocean blue, include hosting weddings (she has one under her belt), B&B guests, special meals, spa retreats, family gatherings and seminars on any topic.
With her high rails, rail nets (not shown) and other safety features, Melodeon is relatively safe for kids and pets. The unstayed masts allow easy movement and the huge coach roof seats many guests on comfortable, waterproof cushions.
Finally, it should be noted that Melodeon is well insulated and comfortable in extreme temperatures. The ease of sailing and seaworthiness are fantastic.
This is an eye-catching little ship, that is easily handled by 2 people. Be prepared to meet new admirers or keep your curtains up dockside if you become her new owner.

2009 Fountaine Pajot Orana 44
$350,0002
Are you ready for a comfortable, easy sailing life?
Meet: 2009 Fountaine Pajot Orana 44 Maestro "Littles Hobo"
“Maestro” is a popular Owner’s Version (“Maestro”) Catamaran from the well-respected French factory, Fountaine Pajot and the world-famous design team of Joubert – Nivelt. The first thing you notice when you board this vessel is the curves. From the steps aft to the port holes forward, to cabinetry throughout you do not have to worry about stabbing a hip bone under way. Honestly, I don’t know why more builders don’t make this happen. So, that give you an idea about the build quality of this boat. Yes, it’s a production boat but they put lots of love into it, too.
The double lounging space greets you starboard and is a great reading spot in the shade with a friend. Wow! And room for the whole anchorage for sundowners in the spacious cockpit. The elevated semi-flybridge helm station seats two {maybe three) and allows for conversation with the party below. All the sail lines (except the halyards) lead to the helm for easy single-handed sailing. There is plenty of elbow room for winching starboard of the helm for a helpful crew member. Visibility from the helm is excellent!
Transition from the cockpit to the saloon is seamless with no steps or obstructions but there is a hidden. covered well for sea splashes and mop water. The double-door to the saloon enlarges the outdoor living space. The galley is conveniently located starboard for easy prep, serving and being a part of the crowd. Ventilation is provided above the sink area but far enough away not to interfere with the stove top flame. Thank you, Jouber – Nivelt! There is also air available from two front port holes and corner fans. Lots of prep space, serving space and storage in this efficent u-shaped kitchen.
The owner’s side has an island style bed and two reading lights. This means you do not have to crawl all over the sheets just to make the bed or disturb your neighbor to turn on the light. The bathroom has a separate shower to keep things dry. Forward, is a well-organized storage area or workshop. The guest cabins have semi-island style beds meaning one side has easy access, which is not common in a lot of 44 ft. boats. Also, the heads have their own separate showers as well. The sleeping areas have so many cubby holes for stashing shoes, clothing, books or just keeping reading glasses within easy reach.
On deck, the windows are tapered to avoid trip traps when going forward to quickly grab a line or catch a mooring ball. There is a huge access point for the anchor windlass and lounging room on the trampoline (replaced in 2020!) to watch the stars at night. The sturdy coach roof holds the solar panels and gives you access to the main sail as needed.
"Littles Hobo" has received loads of upgrades in recent years and is ready to explore to tropical beaches and coves the world over!

Upgraded 53 HP Yanmar - hours display not readable at time of inspection, however it is very common for these Yanmar LCD displays to operate intermittently, which is the case with this one. We caught the hours in the low 400s in spring 2022 and current owner estimates 2022 use around 100 hours, so were estimating around 550 hours. It is a relatively low-hour boat used mostly for day sailing and local cruising. Never any long trips south for winter. We are likely to catch the hours on the display again during the sales process.

The Sabre 425 is designed to meet the demands of the sea while offering her crew handling characteristics that provide comfort and build confidence. The deck plan is thoughtfully designed for safety and ease of handling. She has a high aspect, balanced rig and a powerful hull shape that yields excellent sea kindliness and directional control. Her readily managed sail plan and rigging have been developed for the correct balance between light-air performance and heavy weather stability. She has sturdy rod rigging and double airfoil spreaders, a strong and aerodynamically precise design. Safety and structural integrity are incorporated into the construction by alternating layers of hand-laminated fiberglass mat and knitted roving with balsa core as an added stiffener. Hull durability is increased by incorporating vinylester resin and ISO NPG gelcoat into the DuraLam protection system. The Sabre 425 has two spacious cabins, an elegant main salon, two heads and a large navigation station and galley. The main salon is inviting, with a wrap-around settee and a beautifully finished teak or cherry table. The table folds away, allowing the settee to be converted into a double berth. The Sabre 425's hull is designed to be easily driven, with a fine entry forward and fuller sections aft. Her NACA-section fin keel achieves an efficient lateral plane with low wetted surface, and her skeg gives the directional stability of a full keel boat with much less drag. Sailing from the Sabre 425's T-shaped cockpit is truly a pleasure. Ergonomically designed for function and comfort, the cockpit has high backrest coamings and plenty of room to spread out. The helmsman's seat is raised, allowing excellent visibility over the destroyer wheel, and two deep lockers and a storage bin keep sail gear well-organized. With over 1,500 hand-crafted, vanished wood components, the Sabre 425 is built to custom boat builder's standards. In keeping with the Sabre heritage of quality, we select the finest materials for every yacht we build. You'll find names such as Edson, Hall Spars, Harken, Lewmar and Westerbeke to name a few - a few more reasons why Sabre has come to stand for superior quality for over two decades. A Deltawing or centerboard keel is offered as an option. PHRF Handicap (average) 90.

1992 Custom Vic Carpenter 62
Passing Wind
$739,0009
**AUCTION: Passing Wind is being offered for sale through auction. The preview and bidder due diligence period is currently in progress. Bidding takes place online from Nov. 4th – 8th. Details, photos, and surveys can be found at Boathouse Auctions . com”
A true work of art, "Passing Wind" was designed and commissioned by Vic Carpenter for his own racing and cruising pleasure. Sailed on Lake Huron following her launch in 1992, Carpenter enjoyed the boat until 1999 when he was no longer able to use her.
This beautiful boat sat in a boatyard in Newport, Rhode Island after Carpenter's decline in health. She was stored on the hard, wrapped up safe and sound like a time capsule until a Newport local discovered her and fell in love. The boat was then brought up to speed with up to date equipment, going on to win her class in the 2006 Newport to Bermuda Race.
Passing Wind" is a distinctive boat looking to continue her intriguing story with a new owner.

1905 Herreshoff New York 30
ROWDY
$390,00020
Commissioned by members of the New York Yacht Club and designed and built by Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, the New York 30’s were launched in 1905 and quickly became the most significant and beloved one-design class in the history of the New York Yacht Club.
Their impact on the yachting world has been extensive and the individual histories of each yacht, remarkable. Today many continue their racing careers throughout New England and the Mediterranean.
NY-30 #12 ROWDY was completely rebuilt in 2011-2014 in Bristol, RI to the highest yacht standard. She has been faithfully restored to original Herreshoff specifications and configurations and is now as strong or stronger then when originally launched.
The restoration included the replacement of 95% of the frames and floor timbers, all deck beams and deck, a complete new cabin house, new hatches, a complete new interior to the layout of 1905, and new rig. (gaff rig design of 1905 but with the improved spar design of 1917), Further improvements include hollow spars and diesel engine installation.
All fasteners in ROWDY are new Silicon Bronze. All wood used in the restoration is as specified in the original Herreshoff scantlings with the exception of adding ¼ Okoume Plywood to the decks for strength, water tightness and longevity.
ROWDY is currently stored indoors and ready for commissioning. A full survey and detailed description of the rebuild are available upon request. Shipping to Europe available.

2010 W-Class W.37
Cavalino
$499,0001
The W.37 Cavalino features a carefully laid-out and efficient deck plan that showcases spare, elegant joinery. When the comfortable upholstered couches are removed and stowed below, she transforms from a luxurious daysailer into a racing machine, with her crew hiking out well outboard on the sculpted teak side decks. Adrenaline-pumping performance of today, the glorious elegance of yesterday.
Compete in a wide variety of regional and international regattas aboard the versatile, "Spirit of Tradition" racer/cruiser, Cavalino. She is a fast, elegant and beautiful sloop that has been winning regattas since her launch in 2010.
Cavalino is a unique sister ship in the W-Class family. Like the W.76s and the W.46s that came before her, she combines classic good looks with traditional yacht joinery and cold-molded wood composite construction. Cavalino sports the hull shape, carbon spars, and equipment of a modern racer and the result is a fast, nimble racer/cruiser that is a thrill to sail and turns heads on the race course.

1996 Nautor Swan 44MKII
LAUGHING LADY
$239,00011
Check this yacht out! New carbon Offshore Spars mast in 2020, along with new standing and running rigging. New B&G electronics in 2020. Replaced teak decking in 2012/13. Replaced engine and sail-drive transmission 2007. Electric winches. Air conditioning. New batteries 2020.
Yeoman Yachts has known LAUGHING LADY much of her life and we have been involved in the sale of this Swan 44mkII twice before. For the first 5 years of her existence, LAUGHING LADY was sailed in the Nautor's Swan charter fleet spending the winters in the Caribbean and the summers in the New England area. One of her charter clients liked her so much he purchased her out of the fleet and continued to sail back and forth between the Caribbean and New England following the seasons. LAUGHING LADY was then traded in for a larger Swan. After a short time this Swan 44mkII was sold again the to present owner. He too sailed her in similar cruising grounds. LAUGHING LADY just went through a thorough clean up and is ready for her next adventure.

The interior of MUSTANG can be best described as “moderately spartan” as is fitting for her normal use as a day sailor and performance oriented Spirit of Tradition racer with little below that is unnecessary but just enough for comfortable cruising or to act as a crew bunk house at away from home regattas.
It should be noted that the entire interior of MUSTANG is finished off in the Herreshoff style of white painted surfaces accented by varnished teak joinery and trim. The description of MUSTANG’s interior from fore to aft is as follows.
Forward Cabin: This area is completely open and is presently used for sail and gear storage. This space is large enough to install sleeping accommodations either in the way of removable pipe berths or a fixed V-berth with storage areas below the berth platform. An overhead dome light provides artificial light to this area. There is a water-tight / crash bulkhead forward and a fixed bulkhead aft with opening to the head area next aft
Head Area: The head area occupies the space between the forward cabin bulkhead and the main bulkhead and is accessed from the main cabin by way of an opening in the main bulkhead just to the starboard side of centerline. Like forward cabin this space is mostly open. At present there are no features to the starboard side outboard of the opening from the main cabin. This space could easily be adapted to act as a hanging locker or perhaps as a space for a countertop / vanity with sink basin and water. On centerline in the head area is the mast step. Outboard (to port) of the mast step is a fixed marine toilet plumbed for discharge overboard or to the black water holding tank for shore side pump out and is also plumbed to allow for overboard discharge from the holding tank when offshore. Further outboard (to port) is a countertop and locker space that houses the head plumbing and provides for some storage space. An overhead dome light provides artificial light to the head area with additional natural light and ventilation provided by a large Lewmar deck hatch overhead. There is a privacy curtain that closes off the view thru the opening in the main bulkhead which leads aft to the main cabin next to be described.
Main Cabin Area: Furthest aft of the interior spaces of MUSTANG is the main cabin that includes galley, navigation station and accommodations for relaxation, dining and sleeping. There are settee style berths port and starboard with water tanks located under each settee and bin storage outboard. Aft to port is the galley area with new varnished teak countertop, stainless steel sink basin, manually supplied cold water and storage areas below the countertop and storage lockers outboard. Aft to starboard is the navigation station with electronics mounted outboard of the varnished teak countertop under which is housed a well-insulated ice box along with drawer storage and hidden trash bin. The main cabin area is well lit with overhead dome lights and brass reading lights at the aft end of each settee. Additional natural lighting is provided by fixed ports in the cabin sides. Companionway stairs aft lead to the cockpit and with stairs removed there is very good access to the engine and other mechanical systems.

VIC CARPENTER 62 OFFSHORE
WINNER OF NEWPORT BERMUDA RACE
There is nothing in the sailing world to compare her to.
She stands alone as the life's work of an incredibly skillful yacht builder and designer. The designer/builder was a Canadian named Vic Carpenter, owner of Carpenter Custom Yachts in Canada. She was launched in 1992 after over six years in design and build. She was to be his last construction, built for his personal use. The methods and materials used were the finest available. Custom hardware and exquisite wood working details abound. The layout speaks of the owner's wish to have a competitive ocean racing yacht with sumptuous yet practical accommodations. There is not an inelegant detail; even the bilges are beautifully finished.

Wild Horses was the first W-Class W.76 launched in June of the 1998. She was designed by the late Joel White and built at the Brooklin Boat Yard in Maine. She has long, graceful and elegant overhangs, low freeboard and a subtle sheer that is higher at the bow then the stern. She's truly a magnificent classic style sloop in appearance, yet, she's outfitted with modern and state of the art cold molded hull, systems, electrical and rigging.
She comes equipped with carbon fiber spars/rod standing rigging, 3Di North Sails, sports a lead ballast bulb style fin keel and a spade rudder construction. She has a pair of two-speed coffee-grinder winch pedestals on center line ahead of the steering wheel which can be linked together and clutched to one of the four single, coaming-mounted winch drums for maximized man power to trim highly loaded sails.
"The W.76s, were a kind of a synthesis of some of the late 12-Meters and the Herreshoff designed-and-built New York 50,” says current owner, Donald Tofias, "like a cross between the two time America's Cup winner, Intrepid and the Herreshoff designed New York 50 Spartan."
Truly built for speed and beauty, she has proven that her design sails just as fast as it is beautiful to lay eyes upon. Time after time, she succeeds racing in the 'Spirit of Tradition' class, an internationally known class which combines classic style with modern speed. She has taken the win at countless classic yacht regattas such as the Panerai Classic Yacht series' internationally, Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, Saint Barths Bucket Regatta in the Caribbean, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez/D'Antibes in France, Argentario Sailing Week in Tuscany, Italy, and many more. In the past 20 years she has secured victories and participated in hundreds races around the world.
Wild Horses is a legend in the prime of her racing career and she is meticulously maintained by her current owner/full-time crew.
The W-Class was founded by commercial real estate broker, Donald Tofias, who combined his enthusiasm for sailing and classic yachts with his business experience to create a new class of racing boats. The first design was the W.76 with two boats launched in 1998, Wild Horses and her sister ship White Wings. The W-Class also designed/built the W-46, the W-37, and the W-22.
