Rob’s path to yacht sales wasn’t exactly linear — more of a scenic tack than a straight line. He grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island, a town where fiberglass dust practically counts as seasoning. Sailing was Rob’s main sport (though he dabbled in hockey — apparently he has an appreciation for both frozen and liquid water). Rob started racing Sunfish on Narragansett Bay, moved up through high school and collegiate racing, and eventually competed everywhere from casual Wednesday nights to world championships. If it floats and can cross a finish line, he’s probably yelled at it.

After college, Rob chased wind and caffeine as a professional sailor out of Annapolis, then shifted into tech startup entrepreneurship, and later settled in finance — swapping spinnakers for spreadsheets. Along the way, he coached sailing, delivered boats up and down the East Coast, and logged a few offshore races, including three Newport–Bermuda runs. These days, Rob has come full circle. The ocean has always been the constant — the place he thinks clearly, competes fiercely, and connects with people who share that same pull toward the water. Becoming a yacht broker wasn’t so much a new direction as it was the most natural next leg of his journey.
